Club d’Elf for free, and here come the Fred
Two nuggets of joy for you all, gleaned from some of the assorted mailing lists I’m on.
On the alpha, Club d’Elf is going to be playing a free show at the Knitting Factory Tap Bar. The core group of Mike Rivard, Erik Kerr and Brahim Fribgane have been known to collaberate with some pretty cool cats, such as John Medeski, Aron Magner (of Disco Biscuits fame), DJ Logic, Dr. Didg, etc. Date is Wednesday, August 10th at 8 pm.
And playing the role of omega in this post, a post by one “digstitt” states that virtuosos Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey will by playing at Tonic on November 2nd and 3rd with special guests in tow. the occasion is the release party for their forthcoming album “The Sameness of Difference”. Take this as complete rumor for the time being, but a strong one at that.
Man do I love it when other people make my posting life easier on me. ^_^
